We grow one variety, a hard neck ‘ophio’ hot garlic with a pleasant non-sulfurous aftertaste. The seed was brought over from Germany years ago and shared among our family and two others. We’ve grown other varieties of garlic, but stopped because none compared to this variety. It is a little bit slow to ripen, however it is well worth the wait.
We do not use pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides on our garlic.
